FAQs For Donors

Q: How can I donate?

A:

Donate to the Springfield House here via secure online portal.  You can also send in your donation to: Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois,  610 N. 7th Street, Springfield, IL 62702.

Q: Is my gift tax deductible?

A: Yes, RMHCCI is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization for both federal and state tax purposes.  Our federal tax identification number is 37-1145155.  All donations may be considered tax exempt as long as no goods or services were exchanged for your donation.

Q: Are there other ways I can donate?

A: Yes!  We except other donations such as cleaning products, new toys, office supplies, non-perishable food and more!  Check our website for a wish list that is updated each month with our greatest needs.

Q: My child doesn't play with their toys anymore.  Can I donate them to you?

A: We truly appreciate you thinking of our families, but unfortunately we cannot accept used toys or other items.  Due to the fact that we serve families with children who have compromised immune systems, it is our national policy that we can only accept new toys and items.

Q: Do you still accept pop tabs and other recyclables?

A: Yes!  We receive over 40 million pop tabs a year, which translates into approximately $10,000 for our families!   Pop tabs may be sent to us, or if you're in the neighborhood, they can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Q: Are there other ways I can donate?

A: Yes, we have several ways, both monetary and through your time!   Corporate Giving includes event sponsorship, matching gifts, employee auto-withdrawl donations, and jeans/casual days.  We also have donation boxes at every McDonald's restaurant.  Lastly, you can give your time!  We are always looking for more volunteers!  Learn more about our volunteer opportunities...
